I have been here a few times now and the food still amazes me. It is legit Mediterranean food, the falafel is so delicious. I always get the platter, extra falafel. i absolutely love the chicken kebab, the chicken melts in your mouth and the rice is really good too. The drinks are good too. I've been there different times of the day, but each time, the staff is friendly and routinely check up on you to see if you need anything. I've sat inside and outside too. Both were nice. There are two outside seating areas, one is usually out in the sun so that isn't always comfortable in the summer but the one in the back is nice and the sun isn't over you so it is cooler.

The food and service was amazing! We got a spot at the bar and the bar tender was so attentive and gave great recommendations for drinks. Loved all 3 of our drinks haha! The ambiance was also amazing as it is a rooftop spot and has a lot of ourdoor seating as well. The food was made fresh and was piping hot when brought to the table

Get the Bread and Whipped Feta Dip!!!! That is all.... We stopped in bar Julian because it was in our hotel. The view was fantastic but it was too cold to sit outside. We loved seeing the ships go by! We sat at the bar and staff was great. Menu is unique and fun! We opted for a drink and an appetizer. I had a glass of sparkling. My husband had the rambler cocktail. Both drinks were good, but super expensive.. we ordered the bread and whipped feta dip. It took a really long time to get out appetizer (like 20 minutes). Upon arrival it was clearly fresh out of the oven and delicious! So amazing! The feta dip was so addictive! My critique is that it did not have enough vegetables. I needed more. I also found it odd that bread was not included in the dips. It had to be ordered separately. This made the dip and bread $17. Overall it was an expensive stop for 3 drinks and an appetizer it came out to be $70 without the tip.

Bar Julian sits atop the smartly decorated Thompson Savannah (wonderful hotel with amazing customer service). It's worth the visit for the view, the craft cocktails and Mediterranean style snacks on any day but especially now as it's decorated for Christmas and featuring a themed menu. If there's an event happening or maybe just a busy Saturday night, recommend making a reservation but it's very much worth the wait as well. Also a very easy walk along the river from the Bay St area.

Bar Julian is a fun bar at The Thompson Savannah. I really enjoyed the Classic City Draft beer. (I think that was the name) It was real fresh and happy. The male bartender was excellent. The female one was very unhelpful when I asked for some ice dduring the day. She wouldn't give me any. Meh I wanted to try their burger, but ran out of days. The whole bar area had a really nice vibe. They had a singer a couple nights. She was great. The whole area is very cozy. I would say stop by here even if you are not staying at The Thompson. It is probably one of the most fun places to be in the area.

Came here for Sunday brunch right after yoga. My friend and I sat at the bar. We ordered the Julian Latte (it was really yummy). We also got the loaded potatoes and Shakshuka (I got mine with bread, and my friend got hers with grits). The loaded potatoes were really yummy, and shakshuka was good, too. The bread is so good! The grits - tasted weird (they made them out of rice, not sure why, cause they weren't good). The view was beautiful, and service was attentive. I'd definitely come back to try other dishes.

My fiancé and me were looking for a Mediterranean food for a responsible price and a bunch of fellow Yelp Elites spoke highlights of this dinner spot. I enjoyed the Mushroom pizza and the chocolate sundae the most and the chicken kabob was the best maybe just the style of how it was cooked just wasn't my favorite. My fiancé enjoyed all three food items but agreed the chicken kabob was okay. The service was a bit slow which felt enough more slower with our waitress coming across as if she was just doing the bare minimum and was taking she time. The vibe of the dinner spot was great and people were having a good time with the outside tables overlooking Savanah being filled up which took away from our experience since the temperature was just right to dinner outside. We are on the fence if we will give it another try for dinner in the future.

We stayed at the Thompson last weekend, and we went to Bar Julian for breakfast one morning and also for drinks one evening. It's a really nice spot, especially sitting on the balcony looking over the river! We didn't have a reservation either time, but the hostess was great and helped us get a table quickly. The breakfast was good, but my favorite thing was the granola - 10/10. The drinks were great, too!
